Confidentiality Matters! Ethics, and Changes to Privacy Laws in Substance Use Patients in Behavioral Health Settings
Wed, Sep 25, 2024, 1:00 – 3:00 PM EDT
Online
In February of 2024, the US Department of Health and Human Services made major changes to 42 CFR Part 2, which regulates confidentiality of records for people being treated for substance use disorders. These changes, and important ethical considerations are relevant to anyone who works with clients who may have a substance use disorder. Join MHA’s Peer Training and Outreach Services as we take a look at these changes and what they might mean to how we interact with our clients. Participants will receive 2.0 CEUs upon completion of this training. These 2 hours count toward the ethics requirement for Certified Peer Recovery Specialists.
