Tue, Mar 18, 2025, 1:00 – 3:00 PM EDT
Zoom

As the opioid epidemic continues here in Delaware and around the country, pregnant women who are using opioids are a vulnerable population with unique challenges affecting their care. This interactive 2 hour workshop will dive into the critical intersection of opioid use and pregnancy. Designed for peer support specialists, this session will explore the impact of opioid use on maternal and fetal health, prevention and harm reduction strategies, and supports for pregnant individuals. Through this workshop, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the challenges, stigma, and treatment options surrounding this issue, while learning how to provide compassionate, effective support and becoming an advocate for change in your community.
