Financial abuse is one of the most pervasive yet overlooked forms of harm—and it can impact anyone. This engaging and informative continuing education webinar will equip participants with the knowledge and tools to recognize, understand, and address financial abuse across a range of populations, including survivors of intimate partner violence, foster youth, elders, people with disabilities, and individuals in high-control environments.

Through real-world scenarios and a review of applicable laws, attendees will gain insight into the emotional, financial, and legal consequences of financial exploitation. Participants will leave with actionable steps and resource connections to better support clients or community members impacted by financial abuse.

    • Define financial abuse and its many forms
    • Identify common warning signs and red flags
    • Understand how power and control operate through financial means
